Howdy guys, what's going on? I am TheTitanova or just Titan if you prefer.
I'm fairly knowledgeable of pokemon, but it's a weird knowledge. Like I played competitive for a while so I know lots of movesets and stats and stuff, but I tended to play in lower tiers so it's not the same competitive knowledge most people have. I've loved the games since the original red/blue/yellow and tend to have a penchant for pokemon not a lot of other people like (Dunsparce, Garbodor, Stunfisk all high up there for me). Having said that I am pretty good at bonding with Pokemon if I happen to get one in a game (for example, Swalot and Aerodactyl are pokemon I love due to interesting playthroughs where I used them) so I'd not be the sort of person who's fussy. Although I'd like a fair bit of freedom with my starter because I always bond with my starter so I'd want to pick a pokemon I like, like a Murkrow or a Shinx or something (I wouldn't ask for a pseudo-legendary baby if that's a worry).
TTRPG wise, I only have experience of Dungeons & Dragons 4th edition. I've been a player in a 5 month campaign, and have GM'd for a large group for over a year now. I stumbled upon PTU and I love the idea of it. I have no experience in Roll20 or even in play-by-post RPGs but I'm good enough with tech to learn Roll20 and while I've not done play by post specifically I have done stuff in the past which has required lots of writing, like getting an article published in a journal once. I'd rather make a build that's fun to play than is statistically 'the best'. If you're the sort of GM who is okay with 'fluff' I might run away with some parts of that.
In terms of personality, I am someone who is big on going into character. I generally love characters who are very out there and unusual and I love making eccentric characters. This doesn't necessarily mean I'd be a 'leader' or anything like that (although I could be) and I REALLY don't wanna Mary-Sue it, but I loved drama at school and roleplaying is, for me, a great opportunity to explore characters who you would never meet in real life. The only real 'trend' I have is my characters tend to be big talkers in the games I do play because I love language a lot. I'm very likely to have some combination of intimidation/guile/charm/command on any given character of mine, as from what I can tell those are the 'social skills'.
Tried to include what I thought was relevant? If I missed stuff or you wanna know, just drop me a line. Have a good day, y'all
